InstaForex Overview

InstaForex is a forex and CFD broker established in 2007, run by the InstaForex Group and regulated by the BVI FSC in the British Virgin Islands. It runs on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, and it is known for a very low $1 entry, frequent bonuses, and trading contests. The broker offers four account types built around two pricing models and a cent option. The sections below set out its accounts, regulation, costs, funding, and platforms so you can judge whether it fits the way you trade.

RebateGain does not currently offer cashback on InstaForex. If you would like us to add it, let us know, and in the meantime you can earn a rebate on the brokers we already cover.

InstaForex Account Types

InstaForex offers four account types, and they all open from just $1. They split two ways: by pricing model and by lot size. Standard accounts carry a spread with no commission, while Eurica accounts remove the spread and charge a commission instead. The Cent versions of each trade in cent lots, so positions are a fraction of a standard lot. All four run on MT4 and MT5 with leverage up to 1:1000.

Insta.Standard and Insta.Eurica Accounts

Both standard-size accounts open from $1 on MT4 or MT5. The Insta.Standard account uses a spread with no separate commission, which keeps your cost to one number. The Insta.Eurica account removes the spread and charges a commission instead, which can suit traders who prefer to see the spread component stripped out. Compare the two on the pairs you actually trade, since which works out cheaper depends on your instruments.

Advantages

  • Very low $1 entry
  • Choice of spread-based or commission-based pricing
  • Run on both MT4 and MT5

Disadvantages

  • You must compare the two models to find the cheaper one
  • Exact spread and commission should be confirmed before funding

Cent.Standard and Cent.Eurica Accounts

The Cent accounts mirror the standard ones but trade in cent lots, so position sizes are a fraction of a standard lot. That makes them a low-risk way to test a strategy or an expert advisor with real money. As with the larger accounts, the Standard version uses a spread and the Eurica version uses a commission.

Advantages

  • $1 entry with cent lots for low-risk testing
  • Same Standard and Eurica pricing choice
  • Good for trialling a strategy before scaling

Disadvantages

  • You will outgrow cent sizing as your account grows
  • Very small positions mean very small returns while testing

Regulation & Safety

InstaForex is run by the InstaForex Group and regulated by the BVI FSC, the Financial Services Commission of the British Virgin Islands. It is not regulated by a top-tier authority such as the FCA or ASIC, so the main thing in its favour on safety is longevity: it has operated since 2007, which is a long run in this industry.

As with most international brokers, the protection that applies to you depends on the entity you register under, and InstaForex operates different entities by region, including a European (InstaForex EU) arm. Open your client agreement, confirm the contracting entity and its licence, and as a sensible habit start small and run a test withdrawal early before committing more.

Spreads, Commissions & Fees

InstaForex prices in one of two ways, depending on the account. The Standard accounts carry a spread with no commission. The Eurica accounts remove the spread and charge a commission instead. Where a commission applies, check whether it is charged per side or per round turn, since that changes the headline number.

InstaForex spreads are not published in a single, easy-to-find live table, and any “from” figure is a best-case number seen in liquid hours rather than the average you should plan around. The reliable way to read your real cost on a pair is to watch it in the platform across a normal session, and to check the current schedule for any swap or withdrawal fees.

Advantages

  • Good for trialling a strategy before scaling
  • Very low $1 entry on every account
  • Cent accounts let you test with tiny positions

Disadvantages

  • Exact spread and commission figures are not published in one place
  • Trading costs scored lower here than at the cheaper brokers

Deposits & Withdrawals

InstaForex supports a wide range of funding methods, including cards, e-wallets, and cryptocurrency in many regions. The exact options open to you, along with any minimums and processing times, depend on your region, so confirm the current list inside your client portal before funding.

Two habits matter here: withdraw back to the same method you funded with, since compliance teams usually require it, and run a small test withdrawal early to confirm the process and the real timeline. This is especially worth doing before you rely on any bonus, since bonus funds and bonus profits often carry their own withdrawal conditions, covered below.

Advantages

  • Wide choice of methods, including crypto in many regions
  • Low $1 minimum makes starting small easy

Disadvantages

  • Exact methods and limits depend on your region, so confirm them first
  • Bonus funds carry separate withdrawal conditions

Leverage & Instruments

Leverage on InstaForex reaches up to 1:1000. High leverage magnifies losses as much as gains, so size your positions to the risk rather than the cap. As with most brokers, the top figure is for major forex pairs, while metals, indices, and crypto carry lower limits.

On the instrument side, InstaForex covers the main CFD asset classes across MT4 and MT5. The full, current list is available inside the terminal once you open an account; confirm any specific market you plan to trade before funding.

Asset classWhat you can trade
ForexMajor, minor and exotic currency pairs
MetalsGold, silver and other metals
EnergiesCrude oil and energy products
IndicesMajor global stock indices
Share CFDsCFDs on listed company shares
CryptocurrenciesPopular crypto pairs (where available)

Advantages

  • Covers forex, metals, energies, indices, shares and crypto
  • High leverage available for traders who want it
  • One account can span several asset classes

Disadvantages

  • Leverage up to 1:1000 magnifies losses as much as gains
  • Instruments are CFDs, giving price exposure, not ownership

Trading Platforms

InstaForex runs on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, with an InstaForex mobile app, and it adds copy trading and a long-running programme of trading contests.

MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5

These are the industry standard for retail forex and CFD trading. If you already run custom expert advisors, indicators, or a chart setup in MT4, it carries across to InstaForex without rebuilding. MT5 adds more timeframes, a built-in economic calendar, and broader asset coverage.

InstaForex app

InstaForex offers its own mobile app for account management, monitoring, and order placement on the move. Confirm the current feature set in the app store listing, since mobile apps are updated often.

ForexCopy and contests

InstaForex runs a ForexCopy system, which lets you copy the trades of others, and it is well known for trading competitions and demo contests. These can be a way to learn, but treat any contest or copied strategy on its own merits, since past results do not guarantee future ones.

Demo accounts

Demo accounts are available so you can test a strategy or get used to a platform before funding a live account, and demo contests give you a low-risk way to try the platform.

InstaForex has run a no deposit bonus and deposit bonuses, including larger ones such as a $1000 bonus.
